As the former Senior Vice President of Brand for MGM Resorts International, Scott is a senior marketing executive with nearly 30 years experience in branding, strategic planning, research, multi-channel advertising, corporate communications, event marketing, promotions and sponsorship activation.

A veteran of both the hospitality and advertising industries, Voeller previously served as Director of Advertising and Public Relations for Silver Legacy Resort & Casino in Reno, NV and was Partner and Vice President of Strategic Planning at DRGM, one of Nevada’s largest advertising agencies. During his time with DRGM, Voeller developed and implemented advertising and strategic marketing strategies for clients such as the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, the Nevada Commission on Tourism and Economic Development, and Silver Legacy Resort and Casino, among others. DRGM was awarded the advertising account for Silver Legacy nearly 24 months prior to the opening where he supervised (with his Touch2 Partner, John Marz) the marketing and advertising efforts, prior to joining Silver Legacy.

He then spent 16 years with Mandalay Resort Group/MGM Resorts International as Vice President of Marketing at both Luxor and Mandalay Bay where he was part of the grand opening team. Voeller’s career at Mandalay Bay included the market launch of Delano (formerly THEhotel) as well as the nearly two million square foot convention center. He spent 10 years at Mandalay Bay before being promoted to MGM Resorts Corporate Marketing where in addition to his brand role; he also had responsibility for a corporate advertising team of 160 employees.

Voeller lead corporate and property brand architecture and strategies identified and managed cross-property brand strategies and growth opportunities, and optimized brand partnerships and sponsorships. Voeller also was a member of the team that re-launched and re-branded the company loyalty program M life, and oversaw all aspects of the brand and it’s communication strategies.

Voeller’s expertise has led to numerous awards including being named one of the “Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing” by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. The Reno Ad Club also honored Voeller as “Ad Person of the Year” in 1992.
